Aggregation: Go with the Flow
In Taoism, the Universe is composed of the states of “emptiness” and “stillness.” Therefore, the design planning, covering the building structure, landscape planning, interior medium, media texture, proportion, and dimensions, will model after nature. So the planning will proceed with a quiet and contented regularity, like letting nature take its course. Once people stay in such an interior space, their five senses will enjoy the appreciation of the beauty - ''going leisurely and being content with one's lot.''
The design team brings its design concept – Art, Life, and Green Atmosphere – into this house makeover. And the designer doesn't use the traditionally single-themed setting for this project. Each space will be defined according to its customized functions. Such unconventional interior design will put the life demands into effect. In other words, living in a space-limited building, living with infinite possibilities.
The design team understands this project is a building with limited carpeted areas. So the designer decides to enlarge the proportion of the public area under a space-limited house. Firstly, the round dining table is the center of the indoor space and pairing with the kitchen island and its counter. These two pieces of furniture will connect the pedestrian circulation and functions of the house. This project is planned for two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, two bathrooms, and one dressing room. Such design planning will bring a new lifestyle for the house owner.
Transparent materials, open styles, and unbound design will make every space inside the house blend with each other harmoniously. The designer selects colors to be used for each space carefully. And natural woods are composed in the herringbone pattern to use for the floor tilings. The finished floor patterns look so mild and good. Focusing on the cultural theme of this project, people could feel their inner peace and comfort through the details of the interior design and arrangements. The designer also makes multi-layers design for connecting and blending each space. What makes you feel warm is that the designer considers the design ideas carefully and uses the way of poetic deconstruction to turn them into real life.
The claim of the project design is generated from the flexibility and changes in the spaces. In the vestibule, mirrors and wooden cabinets create a spacious and down-to-earth expression. The designer further carefully checks the building massing and the adjacent environment. Clear glass divides the living room and the multi-functional area. The design of adopting broad-glass windows can cast abundant sunlight indoors and give extensive horizons visually. Sufficient natural light could blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces. Also, the beautiful sunshine makes the interior spaces brighter and brings rich changes of outdoor scenery into the house.
